Matthew McConaughey & Ryan Holiday, live at the Bastrop Opera HouseSold out

Wednesday, November 11, 2026 · 7:00 PM · Bastrop, Texas

Alright, alright — for one night, a small historic Texas theater holds Matthew McConaughey, Ryan Holiday, one stage, and a room of fans who came to hear them talk straight.

Matthew McConaughey and Ryan Holiday sit down together for an evening of conversation and audience Q&A, hosted by Ryan and Samantha Holiday’s bookshop, The Painted Porch, a few blocks from the venue in downtown Bastrop. Ryan opens with a conversation, then takes questions from the room. It’s the appearance closest to home for us, and the kind of close, candid night you rarely get with two writers who usually fill much larger rooms.

Didn’t get a ticket?

The whole run went in under an hour, so if you missed it you’re in good company. Two things worth watching: The Painted Porch sometimes posts a waitlist or releases a few held-back seats close to the date, and a sell-out this fast is exactly what can prompt a larger second date. We’ll post anything new here and on our events page the moment it’s confirmed.

Have a spare ticket, or need one?

We run a free, fan-to-fan ticket exchange for this exact show — a place to pass along seats you can no longer use, or to find a pair, at face value. No box office, no fees, just fans helping fans. It’s not a resale market: keep it at or near the $45 face value and meet safely.

Details here are written up from the host’s public announcement for fan convenience; always confirm date, time and any ticket release directly with The Painted Porch. This is an independent fan tribute — we don’t sell tickets.
